On the first Sunday of each month Fairfield First Baptist offers a Missions luncheon.
Proceeds from this luncheon help to support our Baptist mission at LaRomana, Dominican Republic, and to help send members of our church on an annual mission tour there.

Lollie Hatch spends two weeks each January doing medical work at the LaRomana mission. This year several others of our congregation also went. Pray for and support this ministry by attending the monthly luncheons.

Please pray for Haiti and our missionaries there during this time of political unrest and the devastation of the hurricanes. Pray that the turn away from Voodoo and toward Christianity will continue in that country. Our "Christmas in July" project in 2005 raised over $1400.00 to support Haitian children at Terrier Rouge for the school year at $40.00 per student.

Please pray for missionaries in all trouble spots of the world -- especially Iraq and Sudan. Bill Clemmer was with us Jan. 1 and gave us an inspiring challenge and update on his work in Congo. Keep him and his family in your prayers.

Pray for the "Reaching Truckers for Christ" ministry. Thank you for the prayers regarding Jay's leg. It has healed nicely. The ministry is now located at the Irving 201 Truck Stop. Praise the Lord for answered prayer!

Kristy Engle, the Clemmers, and Catherine Ripley (Kit will be at FBC on Sunday, November 19. Come and meet her!)are now our Maine MPT (Mission Partnership Team). The Heneises have returned from Chile and are looking for a pastorate in Maine. Pray that they find one soon.

Pray for our local missions, "Reaching Truckers for Christ," The Lamb's Closet, and the Fairfield Interfaith Food Pantry.

The FBC Clothes Closet is now open with clothing for all ages and sizes. It is located in the former Fellowship Hall and is supplementing the clothing ministry we have had for Maine Seacoast Mission. Hours for the Closet will be Monday 10:00-1:00, Thursday 1:00-5:00, and Friday 1:00-3:00. It may be opened for special needs by calling the Closet Coordinator at 873-7260. If anyone in our community needs clothing, please Contact us.
